John R. Evans was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993 and is an experienced litigator exclusively representing executives and employees in all aspects of employment law including, among others, wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, harassment, human rights, class actions, plant closures and restructurings.
John has been involved in numerous multi-disciplinary legal matters in proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, the Pension Benefits Act, pension surplus litigation and others before the Superior Court of Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal and routinely provides clients with advice on complex employment matters. He advises executives and employees on severance offers, contractual issues and all aspects of employment law generally.
Before relocating his practice to Burlington in February of 2006, John practised in Toronto and was a Partner in a leading Ontario firm representing employee interests, among other things.
John regularly participates as a moderator or instructor in continuing legal education endeavours where he teaches lawyers and participants on various aspects of, and new developments in, employment law.
